Mountain Housing Opportunities was founded in 1988 by volunteers who wanted to ensure that everyone – no matter their income – had a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. Since then, MHO has worked tirelessly to create, preserve, and revitalize affordable homes in thriving neighborhoods in Buncombe County and beyond.
